Walker's Approach
Walker’s approach is to gather meaningful feedback from employees in a manner that can be easily translated into action and results. We do this through several key steps:
- Determine the level of loyalty among employees
- Pinpoint the key factors that most significantly drive their loyalty
- Measure key areas of performance
- Determine what areas need the most attention and what strengths should be leveraged.
A centerpiece of our approach, Walker provides a percentage breakdown of employees into four loyalty segments. This serves to explain how the attitudes and behaviors of employees in each grouping influence positive or negative experiences within the company and with your customers.
Truly Loyal employees are highly motivated and will go above and beyond the call of duty. They are your most committed employees and efforts should be made to reinforce their positive attitudes and intent to stay with the company.
Accessible employees have a positive attitude but may not be fully committed to staying with your organization. While this is typically due to other life factors, these may be employees seeking job flexibility or new opportunities that you may be able to provide.
Trapped employees are often unmotivated, disgruntled or simply indifferent. However, as the name implies, trapped employees aren’t going anywhere. For whatever reason they do not feel they can leave the organization, so even with a poor attitude they intend to stick around.
High Risk employees are already halfway out the door. They do not feel favorably about your company and are likely to reflect that attitude in their relationships within the company and with your customers. These employees place the stability of other employees and customers at risk.
With each program Walker clients learn what percentage of their employees fall into each loyalty segment. More important, we work with you to consider ways to support and grow your base of loyal employees while decreasing the number of employees that are high risk or trapped. This loyalty Matrix serves as an excellent measurement tool to chart your progress.
